
The Nairobi West Hospital has been linked to insurance fraud with many Kenyans on social media complaining about their tactic of fleecing customers especially when they realize you have insurance of the family is well-off.
The hospital has in many occasions been accused of not revealing to their customers that their patients are dead to make more money especially for the patients that are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The revelations have come as Insurance companies gang-up against the Nairobi Women’s Hospital.
CiC, UAP and AAR insurance firms have cut ties with Nairobi Women’s Hospital after it was found out that the medical staff at the hospital were using uncouth tactics to get more money from patients visiting the hospital.
The leaked screenshots shared by a Twitter User Owaahh paints a hospital run like a trading floor, where patients are the commodity where patients are forcefully admitted, delay to be discharged and overdiagnosed for simple ailments all in the end result of making money.
One social media user claims the Nairobi West hospital put his dad in ICU despite him being in good shape.
At one time, Member of the East African Legislative Assembly (MP, EALA) l Ex-MP, Hon. Abdikadir Aden called on Health CS Sicily Kariuki to investigate the Nairobi West Hospital over the ICU extortion but nothing was ever done.
