Police arrest Kitale woman for killing husband in cold blood

Police in Kitale have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her husband in cold blood.

The suspect, Nancy Murigo Kabuchu, allegedly stabbed her husband after a quarrel over a land dispute, according to police report seen by K24 Digital.

“Murigi aged 22 years had at around 20: 00 hours stabbed her husband namely Stanley Kariuki (deceased) aged 29 years following a family dispute pertaining money from a land that the deceased had leased out but failed to share the proceeds with the wife,” the police statement read in part.

The report further states that after being stabbed, the deceased called his cousin who rushed to the scene and took him to hospital.

“The deceased called his cousin who arrived and escorted him to hospital but unfortunately he succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment,” the statement added.

The suspect is being held at Kitale police station as police launch probe into the murder incident.
