ODM leader and BBI Chief Whip Raila Odinga has hit back at DP William Ruto after claiming that he would stop the BBI reggae.
Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday during a church service in Embu vowed to stop the BBI ‘nonsense’ over what he termed as a tool being used to spread hatred and fear, as witnessed in the BBI rally that happened in Narok.
A few days later, during an interview with KTN, Raila said that he was not against Ruto’s anti-BBI stance. He even went ahead to wish him all the best in his quest to stop the BBI reggae.
“Ruto is just one person among 47 million Kenyans. He initially said he would support BBI and then started blowing hot and cold and has now said he will stop reggae. I wish him all the best,” said Raila.
Raila further poked holes into Ruto’s political muscle and the team he would use to stop reggae, stating that he honed Ruto’s political skills and there is no way he would surpass or beat him in politics.
“I recruited Ruto into the change movement and honed his political skills. He now claims he has the muscle to fight me politically. He cut his teeth and my tutelage and now wants to compete with me. He still has a long way to go,” said Raila.
