Former EMB artist Peter Blessing has been released on a cash bail of Ksh. 200,000 after Bahati allegedly instigated his arrest for terminating his 15-year contract with the label.
Peter Blessing, a former night guard was slapped with a cash bail of Ksh. 200,000 on Tuesday 28th January on grounds of obtaining Ksh. 2,039,000 through false pretence while he was signed at EMB.
“Peter Munyaru you are charged with obtaining money by false pretence between the 4th of July 2019 to the 5th day of January 2020 at EMB records. Obtaining Ksh. 2,039, 000 from Kevin Kioko by falsely pretending that you were able to produce music videos with the record label,”read part of the charge sheet.
Peter Blessing was released after paying the cash bail through the help of friends, particularly led by producer Paulo who was also arrested on allegations of stealing Bahati’s studio equipment. He was however released after a day in custody, leaving behind Peter Blessing.
Peter Blessing becomes the latest artist to exit the EMB stable after Mr Seed, David Wonder, Rebecca Soki, Danny Gift and Weezdom who surprisingly made a u-turn and resigned a new contract.
