Harambee Stars Beat Zanzibar 1-0 in the ongoing CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup to book their place in he semi-finals.
The 48th minute goal from Oscar Wamalwa was enough to see Kenya finish as group winners with 9 points after three games, and will likely face Uganda or Eritrea in the semi-finals.
Wamalwa has been in blistering form for Ulinzi Stars in the Kenyan Premir Goals where he scored three goals in the month of November.
Despite Zanzibar pushing for an equalizer and potentially grab a dramatic win against Harambee Stars, who they have only beaten once in their last five encounters, they were not able to mount a comeback and as a result have been knocked out of the tournament.
Kenya will face either Uganda who are the current Group A leaders or Eritrea in a match scheduled for Tuesday 17th December.
Kenyans will be hoping the national team can replicate what Harambee Starlets did in the same competition last month and come home with the trophy.
