Two more people have been rescued from the collapsed building in Tassia, Embakasi two days after it collapsed.
The two were pulled out of the rubbles on Sunday, December 8 and were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital where they are currently receiving medical attention.
So far five people have been confirmed dead, one being a 15-year-old girl who succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at Bristol Hospital.
After the building collapsed, 30 occupants were evacuated and 18 of them taken to Mama Lucy Hospital. Two are still undergoing treatment at the hospital while 16 have been discharged.
According to the Kenya Red Cross, more than 20 people are reportedly missing. They, along with the National Disaster Management Unit, have set up a command centre and tent to coordinate rescue and offer support.
The collapsed building is said to have had 57 rentals, though not all were occupied at the time of the incident. Both the owner and caretaker have since gone missing.
